UK Speech 2023
14-15 June 2023 — Sheffield, United Kingdom

Annual meeting of the UK and Irish Speech Technology Research Communities

Welcome

We are happy to announce that UK Speech will be held in the City of Steel and hosted by the University of Sheffield on the 14th and 15th of June 2023.

The UK Speech workshop aims to bring together researchers in the UK and Ireland Speech Science and Technology community, both in academia and industry, to share information about ongoing research activities, to meet old friends and make new ones. The conference is organised by the Speech and Hearing Research Group (SpandH) in the University of Sheffield's Department of Computer Science, with collaboration from the UK Speech Community.

This year, UK Speech is immediately preceded by the Annual Conference 2023 of the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Speech and Language Technologies (SLT) and their Applications (13-14 June).

Call for abstracts

We welcome 1-page abstracts (pdf) describing completed or ongoing work in speech technology and/or related areas (e.g. speech production/perception, natural language processing, etc.). The work does not have to be entirely novel as long as it is recent. This is an opportunity to share papers recently presented/accepted (e.g. at ICASSP) or that you are hoping to get accepted (e.g. Interspeech) with other UK and Irish Speech Researchers. We welcome submissions from researchers based in both academia and industry.

Submission Instructions

Please ensure your submission is in pdf format and includes Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s) and abstract. Extended abstracts are encouraged (e.g. including pictures, key results tables/figures) but not required. Please use the official Interspeech 2023 template  (Latex). (1 page total, i.e., including tables/figures/references)
